For Alumni

The College SearchLearningWorks students come from an unbelievably diverse set of backgrounds, but yet they share one powerful characteristic in common: each one holds a passion for learning and the gift of education.

We are proud to know that our students continue to feed their hunger for learning after they graduate from our program. Since LW’s inception in 2000, a staggering 99% of graduates have completed high school. In addition, 82% have enrolled in college. Compare these to the national high school graduation rate—71%—and the national college enrollment rate—37%—and it’s pretty hard to not be humbled by LW graduates and their continued success.

At LW, our mission is clear: to set students on the track to enter rigorous, challenging high school programs in order to prepare them for college. We take this mission extremely seriously. The college search process, as important as it is to our students, can be an extraordinarily confusing and difficult one. We are constantly keeping our eye out for scholarship opportunities and other beneficial programs to assist with the process.

Alumni are encouraged to check out the alumni section of the LW website. It’s still evolving, so keep checking back as we update the site and add more resources. Stay in touch, and let us know how we can continue to help you.

Hey, This is Coletrane T Johnson. I’m feeling incredibly detatched from learningworks right now, and i’m missing the love and strictly positive ways of my past peers and mentors… I’m wondering if more work can be done on this page so that alumni who aren’t in the loop can… get in said loop. or, if i haven’t searched the interwebs enough, maybe you can link me to a more frequently updated page with info geared towards alumni (specifically those in high school/college). Ta-ta!
